Future Fluent: Teaching Students Essential AI Literacy Skills

AI surrounds students every day—from the social feeds and streaming platforms they use at home to the writing assistants and tutors they use at school. As educators, we have a responsibility to help them develop the knowledge and critical thinking skills to navigate an AI-powered world safely, ethically, and effectively.

Join us for our next free webinar on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 12 pm ET, when we'll share actionable strategies for building essential AI competencies across grade levels and explore key components of our newly launched student AI literacy courses.

Re-awakening Human Creativity in the Age of AI

In his address at Holyrood’s Public Sector Data Summit in 2025, Ivan McKee MSP, Minister for Public Finance, urged delegates to place data at the heart of their plans, citing its potential to “deliver better public services, improve lives and strengthen communities”.

Holyrood’s Public Sector Data & AI Summit 2026 will once again provide a vital platform for shared learning, cross-sector collaboration, and fresh thinking.

As Scotland prepares for the next parliamentary election, the strategic use of data and ethical application of AI will play an important role in shaping the policy agendas and delivering better services for communities. This event will focus on how Scotland’s public sector can advance its use of data and AI – responsibly, innovatively, and in ways that build trust and deliver tangible benefits to citizens.

Join us for a day of high-impact keynotes, hands-on case studies, and strategic insights designed to support everyone – from data analysts to chief data officers – as they navigate the complex data challenges and opportunities ahead.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy an exhibition area and connect with peers during dedicated networking sessions.

Storytelling in the age of AI

Are artificial intelligence tools impacting our ability to learn and express ourselves?

Join us for an open conversation on how artificial intelligence is changing the way we read, write, learn, and translate. Our panel brings together speakers with different backgrounds and viewpoints to explore the practical, ethical, and creative sides of using AI in cultural and educational settings.

Together, we’ll look at some big questions:

• How do humans and AI work alongside each other?

• Are we co-creators, careful adopters, or sceptics?

• And where might AI tools lead us next?

This event is suitable for anyone interested in how AI is shaping our grasp on language and translation today. This discussion-style event features a 10–15-minute talk from each panel speaker, followed by time for an audience Q&A.

Note for audiences: This panel may cover topics that some attendees find distressing, including descriptions of violence, persecution, and trauma in the context of the Holocaust. Attendees are free to step out at any point and return when ready.
